US/Eastern
9th American Conference on Neutron Scattering, The Hotel at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.
Description

Writing a good proposal is key to obtaining beam time at SNS-HFIR. A proposal writing tutorial will be presented at the 9th American Conference on Neutron Scattering (ACNS), by SNS–HFIR staff, former science reviewers, and members of SHUG. It will cover the requirements and template for writing excellent proposals for the ORNL Neutron Sciences biannual proposal calls. Pro tips and examples of good proposals will be shared, and there will be time for questions.

This 30-minute tutorial is tentatively scheduled for 3:45 p.m., June 26, 2018, in Salon B of The Hotel at the University of Maryland, which is the venue for ACNS. There will be a half-hour for questions after the tutorial. It is open to all who attend ACNS but please register here, so we know you are coming.
