The PPU project aims to double the beam power capability of the SNS accelerator from 1.4 to 2.8 MW by increasing the beam energy. The New Linac Modulators WBS provides design, testing, procurement and installation of 3 new modulator systems for the project. The baseline design, the alternate topology high voltage converter modulator (AT-HVCM), leverages a modified design originally developed to address reliability issues associated with the original HVCM. This design also permits utilization of the majority of subsystems and components inherent in the original design. The purpose of this review is to determine if the design has matured sufficiently and testing and documentation support procurement of the new AT-HVCM modulator systems to execute project goals.
