Neutron scattering is uniquely suitable for both total scattering measurements and in-situ high pressure. However, due to the challenges intrinsic to both techniques, obtaining total scattering data under high pressure presents unique challenges. This meeting aims to:
Identify scientific opportunities that require the combination of neutron pdf measurements under high pressure.
Establish a roadmap for developingthe technique, including methodology, data reduction and relevant “standards”.
Suggest equipment and software tools that should be in place so that the technique becomes accessible to the user community at large.
As participation is limited, researchers interested in joining should contact the workshop chair, Antonio M. dos Santos (dossantosam@ornl.gov).
