The SNS/HFIR User Office will be hosting a virtual proposal writing webinar on February 5th. This webinar will provide an overview of the submission and review process as well as guidance on how to write a strong proposal. We will also be introducing our New User Beamtime Program (NUBe) to provide extra support to new users.  This webinar is for new users, students/postdocs who may have participated an experiment but are writing a proposal for the first time, or anyone who may want to brush up on their proposal writing skills.  We look forward to having you join us!

After the webinar, there will be breakout sessions with instrument scientists where you can ask questions related your proposal.  There will be instrument scientists representing powder diffraction, single crystal diffraction, Bio-SANS/biology, Materials Engineering, Reflectometry, SANS/Spin Echo, Chemical Spectroscopy, Direct Geometry, and Triple Axis.  Here you can ask questions about instrument capabilities, modes of access, sample run times, etc.

Staff participants for the Q&A sessions include: Antonio Moreira dos Santos, Matthias Frontzek, Alicia Manjon Sanz, Cheng Li, Huibo Cao, Wellington Leite, Flora Meilleur, Hugh O'Neill, Chris Ridley, Yan Chen, Asmaa Qdemat, Gergely Nagy, Manju Senanayake Mudiyanselage, Barry Winn, Tao Hong, Eleanor Clements, James Torres, Shimin Tang, Victor Fanelli, Bekki Mills
