The Neutron Sciences Directorate (NScD) will hold the third in a series of “Neutron Days” on April 26, 2018. Neutron Days provide a forum for staff to learn about our scientific discoveries and the direction for data, sample environment, laboratories, and instrument upgrade plans. Not only will updates be provided on various topics, but staff will also have an opportunity to provide input on initiatives and program direction. Each Neutron Day will have a general theme that will be explored throughout the day through talks and breakout sessions.

The upcoming Neutron Day focuses on instrumentation and technique development, recent instrument reviews, the strategy to complete beam lines at SNS, and HFIR Cold Guide Hall modifications during the beryllium change. Overviews of these topics will be presented followed by breakout sessions.

Following the conclusion of Neutron Day, our current GO! students working with NScD staff will present posters of their work.

Staff are asked to register so lunch arrangements can be provided. Registration will close at NOON, on Monday, April 23.
