Workshop on Fundamental Physics at the Second Target Station (FPSTS19) | Shull Wollan Center

US/Eastern
Description

Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Shull Wollan Center—a Joint Institute for Neutron Sciences are hosting a workshop on “Fundamental Physics at the Second Target Station,” FPSTS19, to explore the improvements in sensitivity possible for fundamental physics research using neutrons and neutrinos at the Spallation Neutron Source’s Second Target Station.

The workshop will include a targeted list of participants and invited speakers who will address topics in parallel Neutrons and Neutrinos sessions including

  • Neutron electric dipole moment
  • Hadronic parity violation
  • Neutron beta decay
  • Exotic searches with neutrons
  • Coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering
  • Low energy inelastic neutrino-nucleus scattering
  • Accelerator produced light dark matter

A proceedings will be organized following the workshop.
