5th ICFA Mini-Workshop on Space Charge 2022
Holston Room
Embassy Suites
Thanks all for an interesting and productive workshop!
Welcome to the web-page for the 5th ICFA Mini-Workshop on Space Charge. Originally intended for 2021, we are very pleased to invite you to join us in Knoxville, TN, USA on October 24-26, 2022. This follows previous successful meetings at CERN (2015,2019), TU Darmstadt (2017), and Oxford (2015), and marks the first in the series to take place in North America. This workshop occurs on years without an HB workshop, which was last hosted at FNAL in 2021.
Our goal is to provide a focused setting for discussion of current and pressing issues in space charge driven dynamics. This is an exclusively in-person workshop, due to the importance of informal discussion in the workshop format. Participants will be contacted as soon as possible should pandemic conditions make travel untenable.
Space Charge 2022 is organized with endorsement by ICFA, and is hosted by Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
The workshop venue is the Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville downtown. Visit the Accommodations tab for booking information.
We are very grateful to the members of our scientific program committee:
Nick Evans, ORNL (chair)
Rick Baartman, Triumf
Hannes Bartosik, CERN
Oliver Boine-Frankeheim, GSI
Sarah Cousineau, ORNL
Giuliano Franchetti, GSI
